Architecture, history and nature. 

Coming from an architectural background, Sandra believes that 

The process of jewellery making is similar to that of architecture construction. 

They both consider 

Form, proportion,material and function.

 The term qīrāt comes from the phonetician origin of the word karat, which is the essence of each jewellery piece.
